This small bible (about 6 inches by 4 inches by under 2 inches) has seen better days, but it has some careful inscriptions, I think by Jemima Ward (nee Popplestone). It was published in 1868, and the back cover is detached, but all the pages are secure. The owner Jemima Ward has inscribed it in 1869 inside the front cover. Then on the next page she has written first the birth details of her husband, James Henry Ward, and then her own birth in 1842. After that she has started entering her own children and continued overleaf. Inside the back cover a child has stuck in some stickers of people that look like nursery rhyme-type characters, and there are some indecipherable pencil writings.
