This is one of those rare Family Bibles that also has photos in frames set in some pages. There are only four photos; one of a women, one a child, and two of men. The photos are variously taken in the Leicester and Derby areas, I think. The Bible itself is a late Victorian standard Eyre and Spottiswood Family Bible. It is in fairly good condition. All the pages are there and are bound. The cover has some damage, in that the front page's brass binding is loose. But it is all there. It measures 12 inches x 10 inches and 3 inches thick. On the family register pages are the names and events of children, parents, etc, including Bale, Stubley, and others. There is also a printed advertisement with two photos for a "J Newcombe: Juggler, Equilibrist and Block and Lamp Manipulator". I can see that Clara married an Edward Stevenson and the couple moved to Ontario, Canada. For the right family this is a unique item.
