NOTE: This Bible is now SOLD.  This is a magnificent family bible, with a published date of 1800, which would tally with the first entry being the marriage of William and Louisa in Bersted, Sussex, in 1799.  The later entries continue in Croydon, and include entries for William Manoah Chambers, of whom there is information available on the web, and an entry for his marraige to Mary Andrews.

The two inside cover pages are filled with that and subsequent entries of the Chambers family, up to about 15 entries, with the latest being in 1881.  As you can see they are all in excellent script, the first page being old copperplate.  Pasted inside the end-cover is a sheet of writing paper with a manuscript funeral hymn written "to my sister".

It is a fairly large Bible, about 11.5 inches high by 10 inches wide and 3 inches thick.

The binding is tooled and it, and the spine and the pages inside are all in place.  Being printed 1800 the pages all have the old paper feel, and the print is the old print setting.

This Bible is listed AT THE END of the Home page as it is a new listing.
