Overall condition is very good for a bible of this age. Slight wear to edges of cover; some age-foxing here and there; grey endpapers have slight marks; a nice tight copy. The original owner, Thomas Roper, has hand-written his date of birth (February 7th 1815) and his wife Elizabeth's (September 10th 1819) on the front blank endpaper. He has also listed the birth dates of their four children - Ruth, Alice, Elijah, and Everett William.
