A very heavy and well used family bible printed by George Eyre and Andrew Spottiswoode in 1839 and sold to Subscribers only at their Depository, Earl Street, Blackfriars, London. It is a nice compact family bible, not one of the vast blocks you often see. It feels like it really was the family Bible. Details are given on two of the pages on the births of the Ingleton family from the Crosby [Scunthorpe] Roxby, Burton Stather, Newark and Market Rasen areas. The third page is loose but I think it is the last page of the bible and has details on the last owner. The first two pages have been repaired with sticky tape, the last page is loose, grubby marks and odd corners turned over with small tears to the edges of some pages. This is not in good condition, but I have rescued it and am putting it on sale until someone from the families involved buys it.
